Elevated Work Platform

The Ministry of Labour has amended the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S 25(2)(A),(D) and (H) Regulation 851 Ontario Regulation 213 for Construction Projects-Section 26,143-149 Ontario Regulation 67 Section 13,76-79 CSA B-335-04 Portable Elevating Work Platforms to include the requirement for training and certification of elevated platform operators. It is the responsibility of every employer to ensure that workers have received instruction, training and testing in the operation of equipment.
All workers who are authorized to use this equipment in their job must be familiar with the operating procedures of the EWP that they will be operating and be able to demonstrate competency.’
Safety Audit Proofing & Training will provide your workers with a comprehensive one-day in-class theory and practical training program to ensure all operators meet the requirements and can perform their job safely. All participants will perform an operator’s test as well as a written test, “Check Your Knowledge”, to receive their Elevated Work Platform Operator’s Certification before the end of the course.
